Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2026-07-26
This Disclaimer & Limitations applies to every educational property and product of The Sovereign Academy LLC, a Florida limited liability company operating as "The Sovereign Academy" ("we," "us"), including:
thesovereign.academy, bitcoinsovereign.academy, and financiallysovereign.academy, and any future Sovereign Academy educational property;Where a signed written agreement exists between The Sovereign Academy LLC and an organization (for example, an institutional training contract), that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with this document.
Everything we publish is educational content: it exists to help people understand how money, banking, credit, taxes, Bitcoin, and related systems work, and to help them think clearly about decisions — not to tell any particular person what to do.
Nothing in our sites, tools, or products is, or should be treated as: financial, investment, or trading advice; legal advice; tax or accounting advice; estate-planning or inheritance advice; custody, key-management, or wallet-recovery advice for any specific holding; insurance, credit, banking, or benefits advice for any specific person; or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or use Bitcoin or any other asset, product, or service.
Educational examples that mention amounts, allocations, timelines, or strategies are illustrations of how a concept works, not suggestions sized to any reader's situation.
Using our sites, tools, or products — free or paid — does not create any adviser-client, attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, planner, broker, agent, or other professional relationship between you and The Sovereign Academy LLC, its founder, or its contributors. Purchasing an educational product buys the educational material itself, not personal advice, review of your situation, or any ongoing duty to you. Booking a consultation or workshop creates only the engagement described in writing for that engagement, which remains educational unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Where a topic requires personal advice — for example, your own custody setup, estate or inheritance plan, tax position, legal question, or recovery of lost keys — our content is designed to route you to qualified professionals, not to substitute for them.
Some content names third-party service providers as examples or referral options, including The Bitcoin Adviser ("TBA"). Our founder advises at The Bitcoin Adviser; that relationship is disclosed where TBA is mentioned. Naming a third party is never an endorsement or a guarantee of its services. Third parties are independent of The Sovereign Academy LLC; we are not responsible for their advice, products, security, or conduct. Links to external sites are provided for education; the linked content is not ours and may change without our knowledge.
Payment processing for purchased products is handled by third-party processors; their terms and privacy practices apply to the payment itself.
Our educational materials are written on stated assumptions, and they fail when the assumptions do: figures labeled with an "as of" date reflect that date only; examples assume the legal and tax framework identified in the example (usually the United States at the federal level, sometimes Florida, Colombia, or another named jurisdiction); simplified models (calculators, simulators) deliberately omit factors — fees, taxes, behavior, market microstructure — that change real outcomes; and translations aim for fidelity, but where a translation and the English source diverge, the English source states our intended meaning.
Education only works if the learner remains the decision-maker. By using our sites, tools, and products you agree that you are responsible for:
Our interactive tools are teaching instruments. They use simplified models, placeholder or delayed data, and illustrative defaults. Outputs are not projections, quotes, or advice, and real-world results will differ. Tools that display live or recent market data (for example, a Bitcoin price) display it for educational context; we do not warrant its accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for trading decisions.
Simulated environments (custody drills, transaction simulators, recovery exercises) are for practice with test data only. They are not a safe place for real secrets (see §6), and completing them does not certify competence for real-world custody.
The Sovereign Academy uses artificial-intelligence tools in two ways, and both carry limits you should know about:
A dedicated AI Disclosure page at /legal/ will describe our AI use in more detail once published; until then this section governs.
Our Bitcoin content teaches how the system works, including its risks. Anyone acting in the Bitcoin economy should understand at minimum:
The Sovereign Academy LLC does not sell, broker, exchange, custody, or transmit Bitcoin or any other asset, and does not operate a money-services business.
Financial concepts our materials teach — budgeting methods, debt strategies, credit management, saving and investing frameworks, insurance concepts, government programs — interact with personal circumstances in ways no general material can anticipate. Historical data and examples are not predictions. Strategies that suit the situations described in our examples can be wrong, even harmful, in other situations. Nothing in our content guarantees any financial outcome, savings amount, credit improvement, debt payoff date, or investment result.
Our content describes laws, regulations, tax rules, and government programs (for example, federal savings-account programs for children) as they stood on the date the content was produced or last revised. These change — sometimes retroactively, sometimes with transition rules our summaries do not capture. Dated figures (block subsidy, contribution limits, thresholds, rates, prices) are accurate only as of their stated date.
We revise content on our own schedule. We do not undertake a duty to update any particular page or product, or to notify past readers or purchasers of changes.
Educational coverage of a government program is not affiliation: The Sovereign Academy LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the U.S. government or any agency, nor any other government whose programs it explains.
Materials and training delivered to organizations — employers, schools, correctional and reentry programs, municipalities — are education for the organization's participants. The organization remains responsible for its own compliance (employment, benefits, education, corrections, procurement, and other rules that govern it) and for decisions about how the education is deployed. Individual participants receive education on the same terms as any other learner under this document. Outcomes — completion, behavior change, employment, financial results — are not guaranteed.
This content is written for its direct readers and purchasers. Professionals, advisors, and organizations that reuse our materials with their own clients, students, or participants do so under their own professional responsibility and licensing; our materials do not transfer that responsibility to us. No person other than the direct user is intended to rely on our content, and no third-party beneficiary rights are created by it.
Site content and products are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law, and are provided for personal, educational use unless a license says otherwise. Purchasing a product licenses its intended educational use; it does not transfer copyright or grant redistribution or resale rights. A dedicated Copyright & License page will state license terms per product class once published.
Trademarks and names of third parties (including Bitcoin-ecosystem projects, TBA, and government programs) belong to their owners; use here is referential and educational.
Our sites, tools, content, and products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sovereign Academy LLC and its founder, contributors, and collaborators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or lost digital assets (including bitcoin or keys), arising from use of, or reliance on, our sites, tools, content, or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid to The Sovereign Academy LLC for the specific product giving rise to the claim, or US $100 if nothing was paid. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; where that is the case, these apply to the fullest extent permitted.
This document, and any dispute about our sites, content, or products, is governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
If any part of this document is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect, and the unenforceable part is replaced by the enforceable language that comes closest to its intent. This document works together with the other documents of the canonical legal section at /legal/; if this document conflicts with a later-published canonical document that is more specific, the more specific document controls for its subject.
We may revise this document; the current version is always the one published at
https://thesovereign.academy/legal/disclaimer/, with its "Last updated"
date and a changelog kept in the page source. Products reference that URL rather than
embedding this text, so the published page — not any copy — is authoritative.
